The LMA invites cyber professionals to the Quantum Cyber Risk Conference, a focused, full-day event exploring how emerging quantum computing capabilities could disrupt today's cryptographic foundations, what organisations must do to become quantum-safe, and the implications for the cyber insurance industry.

The LMA, alongside the ‘Quantum 5’, invites cyber professionals to the Quantum Cyber Risk Conference, a full-day event examining how emerging quantum computing capabilities could undermine today’s cryptography, what organisations must do to become quantum-safe, and the implications for the cyber insurance market. A networking lunch, sponsored by IBM, will be provided for delegates.

Technical keynote

Technical keynote on how quantum computing works, the current state of the technology and why the threat to existing encryption is becoming increasingly urgent.

Encryption panel

Panel will explore the future of encryption and post-quantum cryptography, including new standards and the practical challenges of migration. Additional speaker to be confirmed.

Regulatory panel

Panel will provide clarity on the evolving regulatory landscape, with insights from the NCSC, expectations for cyber resilience, data protection considerations and developments across the UK and EU.

Business and legal panel

Discusses business, legal and insurance impacts of quantum risk, including how quantum capabilities may shape underwriting, policy wordings, claims, risk management and exposures, such as 'harvest now, decrypt later'.

Drawing on lessons from a decade of cyber risk evolution, the conference will conclude with how insurers, technology providers and organisations can collaborate to prepare for a post-quantum future.
