This event is open to all underwriting and claims practitioners interested in PFAS and contaminants.
Description
The LMA invites underwriting and claims professionals to attend a briefing on PFAS & Contaminants, where attendees will gain up-to-date insights into key legal, regulatory and coverage issues, alongside emerging risk developments and perspectives on how contaminants-related exposures may evolve in the years ahead.
Speakers will explore a range of existing and emerging risks, including PFAS, microplastics and phthalates, as well as other chemicals and compounds widely used in manufacturing that have been alleged to cause harm to humans, including 1,4-dioxane and ethylene oxide.
The session will also examine wider mass tort exposures and litigation developments across the UK, the EU and the US, with a focus on liability, causation and emerging trends, highlighting how different jurisdictions are responding to these issues. The webinar will conclude with a practical summary of key takeaways for underwriting and claims professionals.
