Audience
This session is primarily aimed at cyber brokers and junior underwriters with less than five years’ experience, particularly those looking to strengthen broker-underwriter collaboration. However, professionals with more experience are also welcome to attend if they feel the content will support their professional development.
Description
Join the LMA for Cyber Placement Insights, an interactive session designed to support emerging cyber professionals across both underwriting and broking. This session will also contribute to participants’ CPD points.
This session is designed and delivered by cyber market leaders, offering a behind-the-scenes look into the critical processes of underwriting. Attendees will explore key cyber coverages, gain insight into common cyber clauses and build a stronger understanding of how underwriters assess risk and structure terms.
In response to continued market feedback, the session will place particular emphasis on face-to-face engagement and practical broker-underwriter collaboration, helping participants strengthen relationships and improve placement outcomes.
Important attendance note
To ensure this session delivers value from both sides of the market, junior underwriters must attend with a broker colleague (your “broker friend”).
This is vital, as the discussion will focus on two perspectives of insurance: underwriting and broking.
Topics covered
The session will last for two hours and will cover:
- claims and subjectivities
- wordings and underwriting authorities
- risk assessments
- how to get the best from an underwriter.
Speaker
- Kieran Quigley, VP Cyber Underwriter, Mosaic Insurance; Chair, LMA Cyber Emerging Professionals Risk Group; Head, LMA Cyber Under 35s
Due to restricted numbers, if you register and subsequently are unable to attend, please email [email protected].
